Nestled in the sun-drenched hills of the Crane Canyon Gap in Santa Rosa, Northern California, Dahlias 4 Joy is where our deep passion for these magnificent blooms truly comes to life. More than just a hand-tended garden, it's a vibrant sanctuary dedicated to cultivating the awe-inspiring beauty of dahlias and sharing their joy with the world.

 

My name is Laura Temple. Bringing joy to the world has always been my mission, first as an early childhood special education teacher for over 25 years, and now as a dahlia farmer. I have loved flowers my whole life and hold so many cherished childhood memories connected to them; they have always brought me immense comfort and joy. A certified herbalist and Reiki devotee, I weave a touch of magic, and a lot of joy, into each dahlia. Our garden is a fully inclusive space, reflecting my commitment to a sense of belonging for all.

Originally cultivated by the Aztecs in Mexico for their striking beauty, medicinal properties, and even as a food source, these captivating flowers were revered for their incredible diversity in form and color. At Dahlias 4 Joy, we carry on this legacy, passionately cultivating a vast array of high-quality, unique, and special dahlia varieties, available as tubers, plants, custom arrangements, buckets of blooms for DIY weddings and events, and curated garden experiences (that may include bouquet selection), each nurtured with care to bring beauty and joy into your life.

 

In addition to experiencing our garden through exclusive, by-appointment sessions in Santa Rosa, California, our flowers can be found at local farmers markets and purchased through our online shop.
